Here are a few tips for determining the age of your Levi’s:
Jackets
If your Levi’s jacket has four pockets, it was made in the 1980s-present, and not something that we typically buy.
If your Levi’s jacket has one or one pocket, it is from the 1970s or earlier, and is probably something we would buy.
Jeans
One way of determining the age of your jeans is by checking the seam inside of the jeans. If it has this blue and white “selvedge” seam it is most likely from around 1982 or earlier, and definitely something we would buy. These two photos above, show pairs of Levi’s with the “selvedge” seam.
If your jeans have a seam where there is stitching overlocking on top of the denim, like in these two photos above, it is likely your jeans are more modern (though there are exceptions so if you believe they are older send us a message!).
Jeans Or Jackets
If your Levi’s jeans or jacket have a red Levi’s tab where the “E” is capitalized, it is from 1971 or earlier, and would definitely be something we buy.
